![]() Even though tubercled wing offers great performance enhancement, because of the complexity of the flow, the trough region of the tubercled wing is more prone to flow separation. Moreover, the conventional straight wing outperforms the tubercled wing at a pre-stall region which is quintessential. Recent research proves that wings with leading-edge tubercles have the ability to perform efficiently in post-stall region over the conventional straight wing. We compare our Cl/Cd results to the previous year’s corrugated dragonfly- wing blade and we can tell that our whale- inspired blade is much better than their corrugated dragonfly- wing blade. During the flow simulation the unbumped blade’s flow lines already separates at 15o angle of attack, as the angle of attack increases the flow separation also increases that will cause stall and we don’t want that to happen, but the whale- inspired blade’s flow simulation result was different as it creates swirling vortices that re- energized the boundary layer to re attach the flow lines, that’s why whale- inspired blade have more Cl/Cd compared to the unbumped blade when the angle of attack is increasing. Whale- inspired blade shows that it increased its Cl/Cd more than the unbumped blade’s Cl/Cd when the velocity is increasing and also when the angle of attack is increasing. Using solidworks and qblade softwares we simulate the blade geometry and the wind turbine rotor. Frank Fish and named “whale- inspired blade”. The study introduces a new blade geometry that was inspired by a hump back whale flippers. Also, a bio-inspired modification of the aircraft wings was applied based on the tubercles of the humpback whale fins. Considering the previous challenges, this paper investigates the flight performance of the AIRBUS BELUGA-XL, one of the largest transport aircrafts based on the AIRBUS A330-200 Freighter airliner. This affects air traffic and may cause it to stop for several days. On the other hand, a thunderstorm/tornado develops and moves through an area quickly, the effects of a hurricane extends for days. Hurricanes are massive, spanning hundreds or thousands of miles and affecting flights on a regional scale. ![]() ![]() Hurricanes, however, are a beast of the whole nature. Hurricanes present a massive problem if they are standing between you and your destination, even if the area, they affect, is relatively small. Air routes are closed, holding patterns are established, flights get delayed and some are unfortunately cancelled. Air travel becomes more complicated than usual when a large storm-front is formed somewhere in the world. For aircrafts, it may cause the wind to change its direction changing the lift and drag, and the aircrafts may be unstable due to the strong updrafts and downdrafts. It may result in triggering convection, gravity waves, or tend to return to its original level causing standing waves. By the increase of earth's surface roughness over cities, forests, hills and mountains, the airflow is displaced largely from its original level.
